The Tarum Doctrine 

"What is the Tarum Doctrine" you are probably asking.  It's simple.  This is a bullet points presentation of what I stand for.  As you can tell when reading my pages, I get a bit long-winded (and yes, every single word is mine; I have built my own site, and these are all my own writings).  It's a double edged sword.  On the one hand, I am very thorough on my points and show that I will lay my heart on the line and hide nothing.  On the other hand, some people will get turned off by the long and in-depth writing, because they want it short, sweet, and to the point.  So, here are bullet points as to where I stand.  In depth descriptions of all these can be found within this website, either from the Home page or the My Positions page, if you want more in depth analysis.  Again, I hide nothing and have nothing to hide.  My views are based on my morals, convictions, Christianity, and studies of our Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

1.)  We must cut federal spending, and a lot of unconstitutional and unnecessary federal programs.  Republicans in the past have been good at cutting taxes, but not at cutting spending or the size of government.  I seek to do just that.

2.)  We must return to Constitutional rule.  Most of what comes out of Washington these days doesn't pass a Constitutional litmus test.  The federal government should have almost no control over the states and should be very limited in power.

3.)  Illegal Immigration is a HUGE problem for many reasons.  We must get it under control.  I am not opposed to border security, a fence, or deportation.  But, if we de-magnetize America (remove what draws them via heavy fines on businesses, banks, and anyone who assists illegals) there will be no need.  The jobs will be gone and they will self-deport.

4.)  Abortion is the killing of an unborn child.  Roe vs. Wade was wrong, and stepped where it should not have.  The states, under our system, can do as they choose.  If the court was to find any Constitutional ground in that case, it should have been for the "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" of an unborn human being, not for the right to privacy found in the "emanations of the penumbra".

5.)  Taxes  -  I support the Fair Tax (a federal sales tax) and repeal of the 16th Amendment (income tax).  This will ensure that every single penny you make goes home with you, and eliminates the IRS.  It is the only "fair" tax!

6.)  The 2nd Amendment is not just a right to shoot for sport, protect your home, or provide food.  It is much more than that.  It is the enumerated right that gives all the other rights teeth.  Its intent is to ensure prolonged freedom, by giving us the right, if necessary, to revolt against a tyrannical government.  It is what ensures our representatives care for and listen to us.  (Do you notice a correlation between the trampling of that right and our representatives disregard for our opinions?)

7.)  Tort Reform  -  This is a necessity!  The entitlement society we have created, combined with immoral and greedy lawyers, have created a nation where people will sue any time they get their feelings hurt or hurt themselves by their own actions.  Too many feel entitled to other people's money simply because they want it.  We must limit the bounty, and remove this mentality.

8.)  A Congressman's job is very simple  -  follow the Constitution and represent your district.  Most of these knuckleheads don't know what their job is, and have never read the Constitution.  I know my role as a Congressman.

9.)  Drilling our own oil is a necessity.  We MUST remove our dependence on foreign oil; period.  We are funding those who wish to destroy us and our way of life with every barrel of oil we purchase.  It must stop.  We have the necessary resources within our borders.  We need to harvest them and cut ties with nations that sponsor terrorism.

10.  Foreign Aid is like any other charitable giving.  It is my right, not my responsibility!  You (the government) do not have the right to take my money against my will and give to anyone, let alone foreign dictators who hate my nation and countries that seek my destruction!

11.)  ACLU  -  An un-American organization with undertones that wish to destroy the foundations of our Republic.  It was started by a draft-dodging communist, Roger Baldwin, who said "we are for SOCIALISM, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself... We seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the SOLE CONTROL of those who produce wealth. COMMUNISM is the goal".

      It has grown into an organization that, by its own admission, seeks the legalization of prostitution (Policy 211); the defense of all pornography, including CHILD PORN, as "free speech" (Policy 4); the decriminalization and legalization of all drugs (Policy 210); the promotion of homosexuality (Policy 264); the opposition of rating of music and movies (Policy 18); opposition against parental consent of minors seeking abortion (Policy 262); opposition of informed consent preceding abortion procedures (Policy 263); opposition of spousal consent preceding abortion (Policy 262); opposition of parental choice in children's education (Policy 80).  I will seek to remove the federal funding of the ACLU via the Civil Rights Attorneys' Fee Awards Act of 1976.  We should NOT be funding our own demise!
